Questions

Does it judge pronunciation or tone?

No. Proof Take compares the words it recognizes with your script and flags possible differences for you to confirm. It's a fast way to find likely slips, not a guarantee that the whole take is perfect, and it can't rate emotion or delivery.

Is anything uploaded?

Your script, audio, transcript and issues stay on your Mac. The account service only receives account, device, license and usage information.

What counts as a project?

A project is one script and all the takes you check against it. A project counts toward the free allowance once, the first time a check finishes. New takes and rechecks in that project are free, even after the month's allowance is used. Failed or cancelled checks don't count.

Which files can I use?

Paste the script or use a UTF-8 text file. For audio, use one full-length voiceover as WAV, MP3 or M4A.

Which languages are supported?

English and Chinese scripts, in an English or Simplified Chinese interface. Mixed-language reading is still being tested.

Do I need to be online?

On the free plan, starting a check needs a sign-in and a connection. Once activated, checks work offline and the license refreshes when you're back online, at least every 30 days. Opening history and exporting never need a connection.

What do I need to run it?

A Mac. The current build targets macOS 14 or later; final requirements will be listed at launch.
